FAQ
A. Home inspection fees vary in the Des Moines area depending on a number of factors. A professional inspection with an experienced inspector that provides a quality report will typically charge around $300. Beware of low-cost inspections! Bargain inspections will "save" you about $50 to $75 but it won't pay for the new electrical wiring needed because the "bargain inspector" didn't know what to look for in the electrical panel. A lower fee also indicates that the inspector may be lacking something...experience? quality report? professional service?
Q. How much does a home inspection cost?
Q. How long should a home inspection last?
A. Expect around two hours. Inspection times can vary depending on the size, age, type of house and other factors. Some companies advertise how fast they do inspections...a sure receipe for mistakes which can leave you overwhelmed and confused. I won't "rush" you through an inspection. I want you to understand the overall condition of the property and make it an enjoyable experience for you! I will take the time to answer your questions and provide peace-of-mind with an easy-to-read report that you can reference in the future and show off to your friends!
